These activities often engage multiple muscle groups, elevate heart rate, and challenge endurance, strength, and flexibility. HIDPA may be incorporated into a person’s lifestyle for health, fitness, or occupational purposes.

Examples of high-intensity daily activities include:

  • Heavy lifting or carrying: Moving furniture, lifting heavy boxes, or carrying large grocery bags.
  • Vigorous cleaning: Deep cleaning tasks like scrubbing floors, washing windows, or moving furniture while cleaning.
  • Yard work: Mowing the lawn, chopping wood, raking leaves, or digging in the garden.
